MeowBit ("we", "us", or "our") built the ClipDash: AI Clipboard Manager app as a Free/Freemium app. This SERVICE is provided by MeowBit and is intended for use "as is".
This page is used to inform visitors regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decided to use our Service.
We do not collect, store, or transmit any of your personal information to our servers. We do not operate any backend server.
ClipDash is a clipboard manager. The clipboard entries you save or that the app captures — including text, links, and their titles and tags — are stored strictly in a local database on your device. This data stays on your device and is never sent to us or to any third party, except as described in the "AI Features" section below.
ClipDash offers an optional AI feature that can summarize a clip into a short title or tag. This feature is turned off by default and only works after you enable it and provide your own API key for a supported AI provider (Anthropic, OpenAI, Gemini, or DeepSeek).
When you use this optional feature, the specific clipboard text you choose to summarize is sent directly from your device to the AI provider you selected, in order to generate a title or tag. This data is not routed through our servers, and we neither receive nor store it. Your use of that provider is governed by their own privacy policy and terms. If you never enable the AI feature, no clipboard content ever leaves your device.
Your API key and AI settings are stored in encrypted secure storage (backed by the system keystore) on your device only.
ClipDash requests internet access solely to (a) contact the third-party AI provider when you use the optional AI feature, and (b) process in-app purchases through Google Play. Aside from these, the app does not require an active internet connection to manage your clipboard.
The app may request the "Display over other apps" (overlay) permission to provide the floating clipboard window, and may use vibration for haptic feedback. We do not use any third-party analytics or tracking tools that monitor your personal usage.
ClipDash offers an optional one-time in-app purchase to unlock premium features. All payments are processed by Google Play; we do not receive or store your payment details. Purchase handling is subject to Google Play's own privacy policy and terms.
Since our application does not collect any personal data on our servers, it naturally complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13 years of age.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
